The Garden Club is a legal, woman- and minority-owned adult-use cannabis dispensary at 227 Smith Street in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn, licensed by the New York State Office of Cannabis Management (license OCM-RETL-24-000186). We hope you weren’t expecting gardening supplies — but we do sell flowers. Cannabis flower. And a lot more.

The Garden Club is at 227 Smith Street, Brooklyn, NY 11231, on Smith Street in Carroll Gardens between Butler and Douglass Streets. There is also a 227 Smith Street in New Jersey — make sure your map app picks Brooklyn.

The Garden Club is open every day, Monday through Sunday, from 10am to 11pm Eastern time, including most holidays. Check our Instagram for any holiday changes.

Take the F or G train to Bergen Street and walk about five minutes south down Smith Street, or take the F or G to Carroll Street and walk about five minutes north. The B65 bus stops at Smith Street and Bergen Street. Street parking in Carroll Gardens is metered and limited, so transit, bike, or a ride-share is easiest.

You must be at least 21 years old with a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID to enter The Garden Club or to purchase cannabis in New York State. Not a day younger — there are no exceptions, and we do not admit minors even with a parent or guardian.

A government-issued, unexpired photo ID such as a US driver’s license or non-driver ID from any state, a US or international passport, a US military ID, or an IDNYC card. We cannot accept photos or photocopies of an ID, expired IDs, or student IDs.

No. The Garden Club is an adult-use (recreational) dispensary, so any adult 21 or older with valid ID can shop. You do not need a New York medical cannabis certification or a medical card.

Yes. The Garden Club has a street-level entrance on Smith Street and an accessible sales floor. If you encounter a barrier in store or on this website, call (917) 725-2698 or email info@thegardenclubbk.com and we will help.

The Garden Club carries a curated, lab-tested menu of cannabis flower, pre-rolls and infused joints, vaporizers and 510 cartridges, edibles such as gummies and chocolates, concentrates including live resin and rosin, tinctures, topicals, cannabis beverages, and accessories — mostly from small-batch New York growers and makers. The live menu at thegardenclubbk.com/shop is updated daily.

The Garden Club accepts cash and debit cards (insert or swipe — no tap-to-pay). Credit cards are not accepted for cannabis purchases in New York. There is an ATM on-site for your convenience.

Under New York law, adults 21 and over may purchase and possess up to 3 ounces (85 grams) of cannabis flower and up to 24 grams of concentrated cannabis (vapes, edibles, extracts) at a time for personal use. Our online cart enforces these limits automatically.

Yes. Every cannabis product sold at The Garden Club is tested by a New York State–licensed laboratory for potency and contaminants, as required by the Office of Cannabis Management. Potency (THC and CBD) and, where available, terpene and cannabinoid panels are shown on each product page.

Absolutely. Our budtenders are trained to recommend thoughtfully — whether you’re brand new to cannabis, looking for a specific effect, or curious about a strain or terpene. Come in and ask, call (917) 725-2698, or use the Sommelier quiz on our homepage.

Yes. Active offers, bundles, and savings are listed on the Deals page at thegardenclubbk.com/deals and update as promotions start and end. Club members also earn points on every purchase.

Yes. Order from the live menu at thegardenclubbk.com/shop and pick up in store at 227 Smith Street, Brooklyn. Per New York State compliance, only the person who placed the order may pick it up, and they must show the valid ID used to place the order. Payment is taken at pickup.

Online orders are held for pickup until close of business (11pm) on the day they are placed. If you can’t make it, just order again next time — nothing is charged until you pick up.

Not yet. The Garden Club currently offers in-store shopping and online ordering for in-store pickup only. Follow us on Instagram at @thegardenclub.bk and you’ll be the first to know when delivery launches; Carroll Gardens and the surrounding neighborhoods will be served first.

By New York State regulation, cannabis products cannot be returned or exchanged once they leave the dispensary. If a product is defective — for example a vape cartridge that won’t fire — bring it back with your receipt and we will make it right in line with OCM rules.

The Club is The Garden Club’s free loyalty program. Members earn one point for every dollar spent, and points can be redeemed for products, merch, and invitations to events we host. Sign up takes under a minute and uses your phone number — no card to carry.

Club points never expire as long as you shop with The Garden Club at least once a year.

Yes. Adult-use cannabis has been legal in New York State since March 2021 under the Marijuana Regulation and Taxation Act (MRTA). Adults 21 and over may purchase from licensed dispensaries such as The Garden Club. Always look for an OCM-licensed retailer — unlicensed shops sell untested product.

No. Cannabis remains federally illegal in the United States, so transporting it across state lines is a federal offense — even into a state where cannabis is legal. Never attempt to travel internationally with cannabis or hemp products.

Consumption is not permitted inside The Garden Club. In New York City, adults may consume cannabis anywhere tobacco smoking is allowed, but not in cars, parks, beaches, schools, workplaces, or within 100 feet of a school entrance. Please consume responsibly and never drive after using cannabis.
